[PEN-L:520] Econ in B-schools?
Eastern WA Univ. just hired a new President and his first task has been
looking into reorganizing the Univ. Part of his proposal is to move
the Econ dept. out of Soc. Sci. and into the business school. When I
was at Cal State, econ was in the b-school and we were treated like second
class citizens.
Does anybody have data on how many schools across the country have their
econ depts in the b-school and how many are outside? Also, if anybody has
successfully fought against this type of reorganization, what types of
tactics were effective?
Thanks,
Doug Orr
