That was the year the Museum of Modern Art was founded, I was just reminded
at a visit to the Rodchenko show. Damn, those early Bolshie days looked
thrilling. That founding date reminded me of Keynes's argumnent in the
Treatise that profit inflations are good for culture; he claimed
Shakespeare as an example, and the 1920s were pretty good too. But we've
been living through a great profit inflation since the early 1980s, and
what do we have to show for it?
