Dear Friends:
Some updated information on the 50 Years Is Enough Conference (October
2-4, 1998). This message includes a list of "big name" speakers and a
sample of workshops to be offered at the conference. Updates will
also be available on our website: <www.50years.org> We hope you will
join us in October.
The conference SADO-MONETARISM: THE OTHER CAPITAL PUNISHMENT -- THE
IMF & WORLD BANK IN THE GLOBAL ECONOMIC ORDER will feature activists
from around the world working in many fields - at the grassroots, as
policy analysts, and international campaigners.

50 Years Is Enough, in conjunction with the Jubilee 2000 USA Campaign,
will sponsor a rally at the White House (in Lafayette Park) to make
our demands known to President Clinton. After the Rally we will march
to the International Monetary Fund (about 4 blocks away) where the
Join Development Committee of the World Bank and IMF will be meeting
in preparation for their Annual Meeting with the world's Finance
Ministers the following Week.
Join activists from around the world as we let the Clinton
Administration, the IMF, and the World Bank know that our movement
grows stronger every year. We will not go away until there is
Economic Justice for All!
REGISTRATION FORM:
All events are open to the public, however space is limited so please
register in advance.
The $35 registration fee will help cover costs and ensure scholarships
for those who cannot afford to pay. No one will be turned away due to
lack of funds. Student rates available.
