[PEN-L:358] Employment Policy Inst.??
Washington State has an initiative on the Nov. ballot to raise the Min. Wage
to $7.50 per hour in 2000, and index it to the CPI. As expected, the
business community has already started their propaganda war against it.
The first salvo cites a study by the Employment Policy Institute. I remember a
discussion a while back about this group. Something about the data they
used being questionable. Also that the funding of the group was from
the ultra right. I will need to write a response in the next few days,
so any info you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Doug Orr
