Thanks for the cite. However, the danger of official redefinition is that
it may not stick, and people may use it as a pretext to celebrate the
holiday with their own thoughts in mind. That is a quite common thing in
many occupied countries. For example indigenous peoples of South America
often used the Catholic facades to continue their ancient religious cults.
Technically speaking, it is quite possible to organize a Mayday parade in
New York City under the guise of celeberating 'the Loyalty Day' -- and even
take that cockroach Giulliani to court, if he refuses to get along, for
violating 36 USC Sec. 162.
