	From what I've read, the leadership may be talking organizing, but
the locals are not going for it and not funding/staffing it.  The problem is
that the unions are not putting forward unionism as a political movement.
They are simply thinking "tactically" and they are failing.  Decertification
elections are rising and successful.  I think the union movement as we have
known it may be coming to an end.  It may be that 226 (and the similar
initiatives that will certainly follow) will use up that war chest and
political influence the leadership cherish.  Although it's very depressing
and alarming, I'm beginning to wonder if it's not for the good.  If unionists
are not united around unionism then they really have little hope anyway.
