There is another possible interpretation: once the docs found out that the
prospect for administering an expensive procedure was nil, they simply lost
interest - like a car dealer who pampers you until he learns that all you
want to buy is a used Hundai.


BTW, what is medical ethics anyway?  Does it have anything to do with the
responsibility to the shareholders?
