I don't disagree that he evidently ran his company like a tyrant, but
that doesn't convince me he would use our national security services (sic)
in the same way. I grant you that there is some danger of this type
arising from his mental condition, but not from his ideology.

My recollection is that Perot and his party are pro-choice.

That's conservative but not necessarily the mark of an
extremist or fascist.

Since these fellows aren't in public office, thank
goodness, we can only judge them by their rhetoric
and associations. Perot's rhetoric is pretty tame
from an extremist standpoint, although as I said he
would put our basic social programs in jeopardy in
order to balance the budget. His people are centrist
types from both parties with conflicting interests in
balancing the budget, fighting corruption, and criticizing
free trade. That's not an extremist agenda either.

My buddy Pat, on the other hand, makes a direct populist
appeal to working people, denounces 'fat cats,' repeatedly
and publicly baits minorities and others, talks about armed
civil conflict, and has numerous documented links with the hard
right and outright fascist types. He's the guy to watch for
signs of a mass U.S. fascist movement.
