[PEN-L:4728] Re: How Clinton Did Good in his First Two Years

Richard Rothstein's list of 55 "good deeds" by Clinton (submitted
by Nathan Newman) is not enough. If we are to do a cost/benefit
analysis, we need to know all of his _bad deeds_ (NAFTA, the
don't ask/don't tell fiasco, etc.)

We also need to know the real value of all of deeds, both bad &
good (how many of the "good deeds" were window-dressing? or are
Rothstein's wishful thinking?) I don't think Clinton's
crime-prevention program is that good -- or the halving of the
government deficit. The "restoration of democracy in Haiti" seems
a mixed bag because of all the strings that Clinton attached to
Aristide. I could go on, but I won't.
