The Appeal Sid has forwarded ought to be circulated in the US with its own
wording.  It fits discussions we had on PEN about four years ago that boiled
down to the fact that a concerted effort of "reflation" (good 1930s term!)
by Europe, the US and Japan, would counter the competitive deflationary
pressures that have brought us to this terrible situation.

Anyone here want to draft a North American version of this?  Maybe applied
by all three NAFTA countries??
