[PEN-L:1958] Re: A PC Treat!



     My fading middle-aged memory now remembers that
the claim that Maoists talked about "political incorrectness"
rather than PC dings.  This was the term thrown around
ironically in Madison in the 70s, almost certainly picked
up from the Maoists, whose Madison branch was a singularly
dour bunch.
     I have heard very rarely about the end of the 1980s the
term "political correctness" used without irony, by my radical
feminist daughter when she was a student at UMass-Amherst.
