[PEN-L:1771] Superconductivity
- Subject: [PEN-L:1771] Superconductivity

I have a student who is planning a PhD dissertation on "The economic
impact of superconductivity". Basically, he's looking to chart the
patterns of innovation and diffusion likely to arise from the
dramatic fall in energy costs expected if/when superconductivity
technology becomes widely applicable. Any contacts on either the
technology or the economics would be most welcome.
The student in question is a physicist by training. He wants also to
track down an organisation called the 'Institution for the
Unification of Knowledge', which he thinks is in NY somewhere.
Anyone know of it?
