[PEN-L:5188] Re: Shorter Work Week
Much thanks to Commentors on Shorter Work week. We had a DSA Mid-West
regional conference in Chicago a couple of weeks ago and noted that raising
mininmum
wage and shorter labor hours may be among the most hopeful POSITIVE
messages for progressives now - this from Harold Mayerson.
We also did a labor history tour of the Hay Market events which spawned
May Day and came out of the 8 hour day movement. Seems to me we might
want to tie all this together - resurrect shorter working hours and May
Day and Left market deconstruction.
