Subject: Workshop on Afro-Cuban Religion

The Caribbean Religions Project at CERLAC, York University and Casa del
Caribe in Santiago de Cuba are co-sponsoring a workshop on "Afro-Cuban
Religions in a Caribbean Context" to be held from July 3 to 6, 1995 in
Santiago.  The schedule of the workshop is attached.

The workshop coincides with the festival of Caribbean culture which takes
place annually in Santiago.  This year's festival includes colloquia and
workshops on a number of Caribbean topics-- religion, music, festivals,
poetry, plastic arts, archaeology, archivology and communications--as well
as folkloric performances and parades, musical demonstrations and concerts,
films, art exhibitions and other events.
