Well, here I am accused of being a slimeball by someone I don't know
and didn't know wanted to settle a score with me, old or imagined.
I like/liked Bob Hass and hope he is still a Marxist.  When I was being
fired for the content of the micro course I was teaching some faculty
members defended me and some didn't.  Some of them went on to handsome
careers and some were out of academia (and "careers") altogether.
I didn't (and don't) say Bob Hass was a political coward or
opportunist.  I just remarked that he was not evident in the battle
over my (and others) dismissals.
