To Jim,
Surely there is no need for any price/value deviation for
the class nature of capitalism to be obscured. It is obscured
by the fact that it appears that labour is being purchased by the
capitalist not labour power. It is also obscured by the form
assumed by value $s rather than hours. What is relevant is
not the degree of correlation between prices and values, but
the fact that this correlation is invisible to the participants.
If the correlation was 100%, then the fetishism would be just as
obscure.
