RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP FOR PROJECT IN SOCIAL FORESTRY IN INDIA
at EDINBURGH UNIVERSITY (Scotland, U.K.)

Applications are invited for a fellowship to work on 'Organising Sustainability: NGOs and Joint
Forest Management Agreements in India'. This is a 3-year ESRC-funded post, tenable from
June 1st 1994 or as soon as possible thereafter. The appointment will be made at an appropriate
point of the U.K. Research Scale AR1A, or exceptionally at the bottom of the AR2 scale
(currently up to #16,347 per year).

Applicants should have a higher degree in an appropriate social or ecological subject, preferably
with experience of conducting research in South Asia.
