Jim, you might also check out the early pages of Chapter 8 in the
WEALTH OF NATIONS, in which Smith says something to the effect that
capitalists almost always enjoy the upper hand in wage bargaining,
and that "combinations" [collusion] among capitalists is likely to be
common, although the public hears less about this than about
