Journal of Agrarian Change and the Department of
Development Studies, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS),
University of London, are pleased to announce: 



Agrarian Questions: Lineages and Prospects

The conference brings together several generations of international
scholars to provide a forum for considering lineages, approaches and
prospects in the political economy of agrarian change, both historical and
contemporary. 



Panels will be organised around
the following themes:

the study of agrarian change


* Agrarian change: themes,
approaches, issues


* Agrarian change in a globalising
capitalism 


* Class and popular struggles in today's
countrysides
