I am trying to get an understanding of it. Ranagankayammas book is a critical review of Ambedkars publications on the question, Ambedkar attempts to explain Sati in the terms I mentioned.

immolation") and now are asking about the condition of dalits

("outcastes").  But, wasn't sati primarily an upper-caste tradition?

I don't really grasp yet what you are trying to comprehend. What

is the context for your recent questions on caste?
