Mike L: I'm assuming you sent him a copy, right? Did you get
any feedback yet from him and other Bolivarians in Venezuela?

He's seen some of the chapters as early versions were translated into Spanish, and he talked about the concluding chapter, 'the revolution of radical needs: behind the bolivarian choice of a socialist path', on 'Alo Presidente' #252 in April. I don't know how much beyond the title he got--- I did call for a new party and stressed the need for a cultural revolution, which he has since talked about, but these are pretty obvious points. The book will be out next month here, so I'll get him a copy then. (I reserved Latin American rights, so if there's any interest elsewhere.....) Meanwhile, I've had very good reactions here to Ch. 5, 'Socialism doesn't drop from the sky', which the Ministry of Communication and Information published as a free booklet; we've been distributing it at Centro Internacional Miranda events (eg., a 3 day conference on the external debt and banco del sur that OPE-Ler Claudio Katz presented at today), and I was embraced and thanked for it today by a person who fought along with Che and is here working with a new medical school. The same piece has come out in versions in 2 different states, and it is due to be published this year in Cuba as well. Any feedback from Bolivarians and others in the US and elsewhere? in solidarity, michael Michael A.
