The BBC this week runs an episode in the "culture shock" series which looks at "our changing attitude to time". http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/programmes/culture_shock.shtml
Curiously, when the presenter asks the experts at the end of the programme whether - given that everything is up for sale these days - it would be possible to buy time, the experts said "no" !!!
