Evo Morales, the candidate of the MAS (Movement To Socialism)
party, was elected president of Bolivia. What will this mean
for other
struggles in Latin America? How is the MAS vision of socialism
similar
to and different from other perspectives on socialism, including

in Venezuela? Will Morales, as the BBC story at

, asks, "side with
Chavez or be a pragmatist like Lula"? Given the position of MAS
and

react?
