Belated thanks for the birthday emailing.  In my current position as
head of dept. (and a big dept at that - 40 staff, 1000 students) I don't
think I could usefully contribute, because I simply don't have the time;
but I look forward to rejoining once I finish my stint.  I'm glad the
list is still flourishing.  I myself continue to work mainly on global
political economy, when I'm not working as a manager!
