Alas this give the impression that I agree that value doesn't exist prior to sale. Of course I don't, when taking an individual perspective. The point about distinguishing perspectives is that we can reconcile apparent oppositions such as 'value exists prior to sale' vs. 'value doesn't exist prior to sale'.
