No doubt.  Internal opposition from various sources (is there a common
word that is used now to describe them by the Venezuelan revolutionaries
-- like "momios" [mummies] in Chile or "gusanos" [worms] from Cuba?)
and *external opposition* as well:

This takes place in the context of a major anti-Chavez "media war"
in the US [many recent stories on this at http://www.venezuelaanalysis.com

This is an ominous sign since all recent US imperialist interventions have
been preceded by a mass media campaign which sought to demonize the
"enemy" and prepare the public for a possible military intervention.

Of course, it would be naive to believe that the internal opposition and the
external opposition are unrelated to each other.
