David Lane published a number of books on this in the 70s that were more up to date than that citation. I remember one of them being called the Socialist Industrial State, I don't have them on the bookshelf at home at the moment so I cant give a more precise ref. There was a US guy called Syzmanski who published a book 'Is the red flag flying' about the same time as a polemic against Maoism, that argued that the income distribution in the USSR was structurally different. -----Original Message----- From: OPE-L [mailto:OPE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Paul Bullock Sent: 20 February 2005 13:23 To: OPE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [OPE-L] income distribution in China Ian, try 'Wages, Prices and Social Legislation in the Soviet Union' Lief Bjork London 1953 (Dennis Dobson) The Journal 'Soviet Studies' has various articles .
