Yes, but  he also has embraced "new dialectics" and has argued
that it is superior to critical realism:

The paper says that Andy welcomes comments.  Does anyone
on the list want to make any on his paper?

(Andy -- this paper was written in 1999. Has it been published since?
Perhaps in the volume co-edited with Fleetwood and Roberts?)
