Author Biographies: RICHARD WESTRA is Assistant Professor of Political Economy at Pukyong National University, Republic of Korea. His publications include the co-edited volumes Phases of Capitalist Development: Booms, Crises and Globalizations and New Socialisms. He has also recently published articles treating the future institutional configuring of socialist societies and the current Japanese economic crisis.
ALAN ZUEGE is at the Department of Political Science, York University in Toronto, Canada. He is co-editor of the books, Phases of Capitalist Development: Booms, Crises and Globalizations and The Globalization Decade: A Critical Reader, and is a contributing editor of the Socialist Register. He has also recently published articles in Monthly Review, Socialist Register and in the collection, Die Strategie der 'Neuen Mitte'.
