Oops typo:
Michael L and others have to remember the recent assault on the US left--led by Hitchens, Walzer, etc--that it was soft on terrorism and cozy with terrorist states. Signing this petition may have been a good pre-emptive measure. I certainly think the much calumnied Chomsky did the right thing for himself and for us. When Chomsky rises to the defense of Cuba against US aggression, it will be difficult to question his integrity and independence.
