As'ad AbuKhalil likes to bend the stick sometimes a bit to one side.
(and even he puts adds a question mark to it: "MRZine and Iranian state
propaganda?")

I dont think a quote like this sounds like the voice of the Iranian state:

"Iran's civil society is fighting; it is giving blood for a just cause. It is
displaying its power, the power of the people. Today, Iran must be considered
one of the most vibrant democracies in the world because it is the people who
are speaking. The role of the supporters of the status quo has been reduced to
reaction, which is why they are lashing out violently at those who question
their legitimacy."

The above quote is from a piece that is from MRzine itself:

Other than that MRZine mirrors news, commentaries and videos from sources like
the British Guardian, Al-Jazeera or YouTube, hardly to be considered being
mouth-pieces of the Iranian state. And yes they have news from PressTV. But
even before PressTV news have appeared on this list and the Marxism list has
not been accused of being the voice of the Iranian state.

MRzine does not jump the Mousavi band-waggon and they might be a bit skeptical
about the prospects of the present demonstration, but I consider this kind of
an antidote to all those proclamations of a second Iranian revolution.
