I wrote a critique of his most recent apologetics for the Chinese

But I have the utmost respect for his career overall. Arrighi was a 
world-systems theorist close to Wallerstein ideologically. Whatever you 
want to say about this trend in terms of its adherence to classical 
Marxism, they were always on the side of the oppressed.
