Hi:

i see your concern. the message at the bottom of each post is appended 
to each post as it comes though our server.  if you see that phrase 
appear more than once in a post, you know someone hit reply without 
clipping that part of the text. its one way i keep an eye on whether 
someone is clipping text or not.

there is no automated response, though i would bounce such posts if we 
could easily do it.

better though just to get all subscribers on the same page: we want 
posts with content we can read easily and not waste time parsing through 
reams of quoted text to find the punchline. the appearance of the "YOU 
MUST" phrase is just an indicator of effort, but its not the important 
point and if someone lets a small post come through and the phrase is on 
there, i will often let it slide.

but when i see lots of medium length and longer posts come through 
without clipping, i raise the issue.
