[Marxism] on properly clipping quoted text

Since Erik has raised a flag, let me re-re-re-re-re-explain what we mean
by clipping quoted text.

the post you see below is properly clipped. we do not ask that ALL
quoted text be clipped. we do ask that all of it not relevant to a
conversation be deleted.

what remains should have the "author" clearly noted, as readers complain
if they cannot follow who is saying what.

though this may seem a trivial matter to some it matters to Lou and I in
two respects:

1. if you reply to a large 5 - 35 kB message, you run the risk of
sending all of that material back to the list. this is wasteful of
internet AND mental bandwidth.

2. unclipped text makes it hard to see where you have had anything to
say. you should ensure that before you hit send, your message would be
clear to another person who may NOT have 30 seconds to scan through your
post to find the punchline.
