As i recall the reports i heard, ALL the vote results were not reported in a
few hours.
Several hours after the polls were closed, the first results from ostensibly
counting at that point about 20% of the votes were announced. At that point
some officials called Ahmadinejad the winner. Mousavi had already declared
himself the winner before any voting results were announced.
Some hours later the result from ostensibly counting about 45% of the votes
were announced. I think it was at that point that Ali Khamenei
controversially announced an unusually quick and early sanction of
Admadinejad's victory
Results from ostensibly counting increasingly larger proportions of the
total votes cast were periodically announced until the final results were
announced on Saturday, roughly sixteen to twenty hours after the polling
places had been closed.
