[Marxism] Miscellenae
Oh, and by the way.
The Iranian people, like all the peoples the world over, are FED UP.
Fed up with living in capitalism, I suppose.
Remember when during the break up of the Soviet Union, we would look at
the crowds and at their "leadership"... And the media would tell us : A
is conservative, and B is radical. And then, a few weeks later we would
discover that A was really radical and B was really conservative... And
then, a few weeks later, it would all change again...
It's all power struggles, my friends.
Power struggles derive their legitimacy from the people, but that's
where it ends.
Lenin, for one, did a great deal of harm. When it comes to workers'
autonomy and self-determination, workers' emancipation, then Lenin
clearly put down his boot and said "niet".
There was to be no freedom, no self-emancipation of the working class
while he was around.
On the contrary... (yeah... you all know the gulag stuff)
Of course, many real anti-lenin marxists have written tons of books on
Karl Marx. From Luxemburg to Debord (which I don't like, even though I'm
French), from Mattick to Vanneigem ...
They all show that leninism=capitalisim.
Workers would work 9 hours a day in Tsarist Russia and then work 12
hours a day in Leninist Russia.
The last freedom of the working class was demolished with the end of the
"Workers' Opposition" inside the Bolshevik party. The Workers'
Opposition demanded free soviets and "true democracy within the
workplace", so that an engineer would have the same rights as a
construction worker.
Lenin (and Trotsky) sneered at the Workers' Opposition and had them all
put away in prison. Trotsky was for the "militarisation of the workers"
: workers should work 6 days a week, 12 hours a day, AND NOT COMPLAIN.
I'm fed up with trotskyism. Since 1968, it has spawned several parties
in France, with a total share of the vote of around 7%. When things go
bad, such as in a capitalist-induced crisis, they go up to 9%. Last
month (may 2009), they polled 8% of the vote.
I don't care. As far as I'm concerned, they are just power-hungry
generals looking for troops.
