I also find the idea that we have oil reserves to last until 2040 or so
hardly reassuring. Marxists have an obligation to serve as prophets of
humanity, not in the sense of seeing the future but in defining a future
path that will ensure the viability of civilization. The fact that China
will be making Hummers is not reassuring. These ugly idiotic cars
formerly produced by a scumbag rightwing billionaire should go into the
dustbin of history, just like him.
