Hi everyone,

Joe Higgins of the Socialist Party in Ireland won election to the European
Parliament, beating out the governing Fianna Fail party's candidate in
Dublin. I highly recommend listening to his press conference after his
victory. Higgins also played a big role in the defeat of the Lisbon Treaty
(the EU constitution) in Ireland a few months ago.  For video of his press
