  From the accent of those people their origin as US-citizens was quite clear. 

  And it appears to me, that for the US mainstream, the state of Israel as a 
colonial settler state is just an extension of the colonization of North 
America, the extermination of the American Indians and the whole "Wild West" 
mentality which is also inextricably linked with the chattel slavery of Black 
people imported from Africa in chains.
