Louis: You clearly have a more sanguine view of the Chinese legal system than I 
do.


Without excusing the one-year sentence given to this woman (but also without 
knowing all the facts), this hardly explains how a mere "protester" at 
Tienanmen would still be in prison after 20 years when one of the known leaders 
served only 7. I stand by my hypothesis that anyone still in prison was guilty 
of far more serious offenses than mere "protesting."
