I bought a Phillips DVD-player at Walmart recently for about $40 that has Divx, 
but no USB port.  I don't use the Divx feature that much, because I've found 
that unless video files are encoded with the right codecs, they won't play 
(.wmv files from Microsoft are the ones to watch out for, and they are all over 
the place).
