Re: [Marxism] North Korea's Real Crime

Folks, I wasn't even thinking fusion. There are dozens of applications
in the energy field besides fusion, which I think is, basically, a waste
of time. For example, high energy lasers can be used to 'eat' high-level
nuclear waste (in fact, as far I know, it's the ONLY practical
application for it right now). This would, should be, a worthwhile goal
regardless of where you fall in the nuclear energy question.

The ability to develop, for example, new isotopes of various materials
could have wide ranging applications in science and industry.

The idea is that the direction such new technology goes toward should be
*away* from WMD and the world's military-industrial complexes.
