Okay, the very next sentence is:
"The focus needs to be on the master freight contract, which covers
100,000 workers and will expire on March 31, 1998."
Feeny is saying that it's more important to concentrate efforts to help
the 100,000 workers than to intervene in the court decision on the
Carey-Hoffa election.
Hardly what I'd call a polemic.
