I've always found generational interpretations a questionable
reflection of marketing ploys. This was certainly did when the Pepsi
Generation was having it's shot at leading things.

But one person's experience is another person's baggage. Younger
people often assume that their lack of the former can be remedied by
loading up on the latter. The number of times I've been shrieked at
by young dogmatic would-be "leaders" is proportionately about the same
as the number of times I've been shrieked at by older ones.

The bottom line is that ideas and arguments should be taken on their
own merits for any quarter...that people should treat each other in a
sane fashion and be less preoccupied with winning an argument than
with focusing on the points at issue...and the entire of it should
aired as often and as frequently as practical. (I'm saying this as
I'm currently engaged in housecleaning.)
