I don't disagree, but probably for different reasons.
Regardless of your opinion of me, comrade, your politics is light
years beyond Solidarity's. In fact, your politics and mine are
actually quite similar. The difference between you and I on this
issue, comrade, is I've been a member of Solidarity, approximately two
more times than you have. In other words, I have experience on the
issue.
One could attempt to cast this as a sectarian issue. I hate Solidarity
because I'm an ultra leftist. Compared to Solidarity, I am. Of course,
I'm a member of an actual multitendency organization in which
different factions real political differences. I'm a member of the
Kasama Project. I'm a member of the Miami May Day Alliance, which
unites comrades from the ISO, Workers World, ex-SWP, some Greens, and
a Haitian revolutionary. I have helped PSL in their efforts in South
Florida, all while being a member of the SP. In other words, I'm not
only happy to work with comrades of different persuasions, but I'm
active in trying to forge unity and good will between revolutionary
groups.
I remember back when I was in the Chicago local of Solidarity, when I
put forward an idea to work with Socialist Action. I was told we
couldn't work with them because Socialist Action was a bunch of
sectarians, even though I had been working with SA comrades in Chicago
before I joined Solidarity. Anyone to their left, they label as
sectarians, and cast them out of the circle of acceptable socialists.
You have an ideal vision of Solidarity. The reality is, and has always
been, quite a bit dirtier. They aren't the answer to the left's
divisions. They are just another one of the sources.
