The case for which he is being tried now in Germany is of a different
Ivan, not the case he stood trial for before. Given the effort and
expense the West has spent on prosecuting this man (I remember back in
the 70s when they first went after him), you'd expect he was some kind
of monster of the Barbi, Mengele, Eichmann type, but he ain't.
