I'm claiming that there probably isn't any GOOD science backing up the
claims of MOST "alternative medicine." And yes, that I do not reasonably
have the ability to do the scientific testing myself. As to just reading,
yes I accept that the readings you recommend say what you say they do, but
that's not too interesting.

As I alluded to earlier, the burden of proof, in such a case, is on YOU. In
other words, if you believe in a reported result which was supposedly a
result of proper scientific inquiry, then YOU should go to a medical
researcher in that field. Tell him/her: "Hey, there's this great scientific
experiment which needs repeating. But by repeating it you will show the
world that Therapy X really works! Since that result isn't widely accepted,
you would be a hero! Lives would be saved! All you have to do is to repeat
this experiment....."

Of course the first researcher you ask to do that may be a stockholder in a
big pharmaceutical company which would lose lots of money if Therapy X were
to be proven. So he refuses to conduct the experiment. Alright, the second
one you ask is also a jerk. Eventually, you will either find a GOOD REASON
they don't want to do that experiment, or you will have to come back to me
and say "There is a great conspiracy out there involving EVERY RESEARCHER
involved in this field...."

PS This is my final word on the subject. I should just have followed Louis'
