Jeff, I do think you raise a good point. However, I am hamstrung on the issue 
with this list because anytime I try to post a scientific defense of so-called 
alternative practices I'm silenced. 

I will let the chiropractors defend themselves, but on the subject of massage 
therapy I will direct you to two sources: a peer-reviewed journal with 
substantial input from physical therapists and more mainstream health 
professionals titled " journal of bodywork and movement therapies", and the 
research of Dr Tiffany Fields, who I believe is at the university of Miami. 

Please save your righteous indignation until after reading a few issues, and if 
you would like to continue the discussion please contact me offlist
