[Marxism] Data on Venezuela ?
For some reason, there is a strange habbit in the French Socialist
Party to consider anything happening in Venezuela as going against
democracy. I routinely see comments on how the Poor "may" fare
slightly better but that the "Middle Class" is doing much worse than
before Chavez (not to mention the Rich, who are supposed to have all
left the country, which may not be a bad thing after all).
So, I'm looking for actual data on how the country is doing, in terms
of implemented policies (medical care, education, energy etc) and
economical results.
I am looking for similar data on Cuba. Accessorily, data on "arbitrary
executions" in the Land of Castro would be helpful too. I saw recently
one one of the lists I read about the fact that torture is very
unlikely to have happened in Cuba since it would have been yet another
tool used by Western states to discredit Cuba.
Anyway, where would members of the list look for reliable data about
the above issues ?
Thanks in advance,
Jean-Christophe Helary
