Actually, the mortality rate simply for entering a hospital is only
about 1%. Given the amount of disease present in these places, that's
pretty good.

Could things be improved, absolutely. But capitalism is the reason why
American hospitals are relatively dangerous compared with other
industrialized countries. It's not a problem inherent in the nature of
hospitals or scientific medicine itself.

Blame capitalism!
